CEO and Founder
Carmen is the founder and CEO of Delivering Hope, Inc. She has a B.A. in Spanish Literature and an M.A. in Sociology from Stanford University, where she also was a member of the varsity diving team. Carmen is currently a medical student at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Carmen plans to incorporate global health work into her future medical career, and is particularly interested in the socio-political inequalities that exist in the United States and abroad, which often serve to produce differential access to high quality medical care and the effective treatment of illness.
She is specifically focused on these issues as they relate to gender and reproductive health, and it is the mission of Delivering Hope to begin to address the consequences of unequal access to health care in a concrete way.
